Final agreement Collective Labor Agreement 2023-2024

On 28 July 2023, the WVOI and employee organizations FNV, CNV Education and AOb reached a final collective labor agreement, the CAO-OI 2023-2024. The members responded positively to the 6 July bargaining result.

The new Collective Labor Agreement runs from 1 July 2023, to 30 June 2024, and the main agreements are:

As of 1 September 2023, the wages will be structurally increased by 5 percent. In addition, every employee who is employed on 1 September 2023 will receive an one-time payment of 1,500 euros gross, whereby this payment is calculated in proportion to the scope of employment and the number of months the employee is employed, in the period from 1 January 2023 to 1 September 2023.

As of 1 January 2024, wages will be structurally increased by another 2.25 percent. Thus, a total twelve-month structural wage increase of 7.25 percent has been agreed in this Collective Labor Agreement.

In the Collective Labor Agreement it was also agreed that in the case of structural work, an employment contract for an indefinite period of time would be entered into with the employee in question after the expiration of an initial fixed-term employment contract.

The Collective Labor Agreement already contains provisions that support Diversity, Inclusion and Equality, as well as sustainable employability in all stages of life. To give more substance to these themes in the new Collective Labor Agreement, agreements have been made on the exchange of three public holidays, leave for transition processes, informal care leave with continued payment of the pension premium, paid bereavement leave and saving leave for sabbatical.

The text of the CAO-OI 2022-2023 is still available on the WVOI site. This text will be replaced by the new collective labor agreement text as soon as possible.

The new salary tables can already be consulted here (in Dutch).
